IN A PRIVILEGE SPEECH, Sen. Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III lamented that he was perhaps the first Philippine senator to fall victim to cyberbullying. And probably the first senator who saw it coming.
After warning his critics of the impending Cybercrime Law, the comedian senator said, “’Pag kinuha na sila ni Lord, mananagot sila doon, hindi rito.” To which, the Lord replied, “You also.”
Portions of Tito Sotto’s speech that were “lifted” from Sarah Pope’s blog have been stricken off the Senate records. Or as CSIs would call it, “tampering with evidence.”
Earthquake!
Eastern Philippines was hit by a 7.6-magnitude earthquake Friday evening. Reacting to the news, Tito Sotto said, “’Ba’t naman ako matatakot sa lindol? Lindol lang ‘yan!”
A 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit Eastern Philippines Friday evening triggering a tsunami warning. But shortly after midnight, the tsunami alert was LIFTED. And Tito Sotto was like, “I didn’t do that! I swear!”
Roxas Is It
President Aquino announced the appointment of his defeated vice presidential candidate Mar Roxas as the new DILG secretary. Observers believe Roxas’ appointment is a big boost to good governance, transparency, and the Liberal Party.
Following the announcement, TV and radio stations asked LP stalwart Senator Frank Drilon if Mar Roxas was a good choice. That was like asking Annabelle Rama if Richard Gutierrez was a good actor.
Shocking
Former Palawan Governor Joel Reyes and his brother, former Coron Mayor Mario Reyes, murder suspects both, have fled the country via the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Reports say Sen. Panfilo Lacson was shocked by their daring escape. And the Reyes brothers were like, “Utot mo!”
Ping and Leila
In an apparent gesture of peace, Sen. Panfilo Lacson texted Justice Secretary De Lima and greeted her on her birthday last Aug. 27. It got a bit awkward though when De Lima replied, “Hu u?”
Republican Romney
In the televised Republican National Convention Friday, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney accepted his nomination for president of the United States of America. Romney opened his acceptance speech with a disclaimer, “No portion of this speech was copied from a blogger.”

Randy Jackson is leaving American Idol. Who let the dawg out?
Randy Jackson is out as an American Idol judge. Whoever’s going to replace him has a very big chair to fill.
Randy Jackson is out as a judge in American Idol. Based on recent events, there’s a huge chance his replacement will come from the Liberal Party.

British Member of Parliament in manila for study tour has thief break into her hotel room and steal her belongings. Interaksyon.
Wow. What service in 5 star hotels!
Between that and the ‘lying thief’ senator sotto of the philippines!, which she could not fail to read about, i dont think her report back will be complimentary, or help investment/aid/begging bowl.

Originality, like economics, faces his great foe: scarcity, generally, in words. Better grab it while you can, Tito Sen.

sotto’s staff said that all senators/their staffs are plagiarists also, so, why keep on attacking only sotto…
does this means that it’s alright if they steal as long as they will not be caught?
and it is alright if they will get caught as long as they will ask forgiveness?
and i am with sotto, naturally because i am an eat bulaga fan hahaha but seriously because sotto acknowledged the original owner who is not pope..
so what’s your problem people…
no to rh bill

The problem is arrogance. Remember the initial defense of senator tito?
“Bakit ko naman iko-quote ang blogger? Blogger lang iyon. Ang kino-quote ko si Natasha Campbell-McBride.”
Then a chief of staff also told Pope “If you wish that you also be credited with the contents of this book, let this be your affirmation. I can do it and by this message, I am doing it. Hope this satisfies you.”
A simple apology could have remedied the mistake but they choose to be arrogant and get deserve the backlash.
