Very true! I remember when I was in Tokyo in 1977 for 3 1/2 months seminar cum attachment program, on my 2nd day of adjustment in our dormitory in Todoroki, there was this earthquake that really made me nervous. My other companions were still arriving that day & there was only 3 of us who arrived the day before. But the other 2 guys were out familiarizing themselves with the train system. I got out of my bedroom right after the quake stopped and the dorm caretaker told me not to worry, there wikk be more coming during my 3 1/2 months’ stay.
