Villar’s Running Mate
Liberal Party stalwart Franklin Drilon says presidential aspirant Manny Villar is running out of options for vice president. But Villar’s staunch ally, Gilbert Remulla dismissed Drilon’s observation and said, “Si Senador Villar mauubusan ng VP?!? Hello!?! Kung gusto n’yo doblehin pa niya eh!”
Villar’s Running Mate II
According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, presidential aspirant Manny Villar will choose either Senator Francis Escudero or Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, or even Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay as possible vice presidential candidate. Villar is reportedly looking for a running mate who has the most experience, and the least asking price.
Villar’s Running Mate III
Presidential aspirant Manny Villar’s running mate is reportedly a choice among three people: Chiz Escudero, Jinggoy Estrada, and Jejomar Binay. The good, the bad, and the …mayor. [Ang sama ng iniisip n’yo!]
It’s Noynoy and Mar!
Sen. Mar Roxas has accepted Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s invitation to run as his vice-president. Roxas says he will make the official announcement at Club Filipino today, September 21 because it’s a historic day. In fact, there will be two major announcements: One, that Roxas has finally decided to run for vice president, and two, that Korina Sanchez has finally decided to give way to Shalani Soledad.
Estrada vs. Lacson
Reports say deposed president Joseph Estrada is ready to listen to the second privilege speech of Sen. Panfilo Lacson scheduled tomorrow, September 22 . To give you an idea how well prepared Estrada is for the second speech, his lawyers have already drafted a second libel complaint against the Inquirer.

I agree. I haven’t decided who to vote for in 2010 but I am keeping an open mind to Gibo. His albatross will probably be his “association” with GMA but during in his tenure as a cabinet man, I don’t perceive him to be a “yes-maam” person…he seems to a decent human being…and he is obviously intelligent (top notcher!)
Noynoy…I don’t believe he has what it takes to be a president that would make a difference. The global economic crisis will carry through 2010 (it is predicted that it will end in 2011) so I don’t understand people who say that ‘okay lang kung hindi matalino, basta honest’. That kind of thinking does not bode well for our country and our people.
I think we should all wait for their presidentiables’ platforms. Voting for a person out of ‘disgust’ for the present President or, as you have stated, out of popularity, is, I believe, just not the way to go.

Suffice to say, Teodoro explicitely indicated that he plans (if ever he wins) to continue GMA’s programs neither did he mention that he would rid of the bad practices(for the lack of a better term) of GMA’s Administration. So where does that leave us?
In fairness to Teodoro, he seems to project himself as a “reformist” however its really difficult to digest that idea under the premise that he serves under a crooked and corrupt administration.
Both Teodoro and Aquino will have excellent platforms, at the end of the day for me the platforms are secondary at this point in time. I’d rather choose a leader who will not have any political favors and is committed to honesty, reform and service to the Filipino Nation.
Being a “taga tondo” or “maka-mahirap” does not cut it anymore, I foresee the former to be the basis of an ROI and the latter a means to grab power and take vengeance.

To those who missed PDI’s 9-7-09 issue, read on to know Chiz:
“Sen. Chiz Escudero said he wants to run for president at a young age because he’s afraid that if he does so when he is older, he might end up acting like a trapo (traditional politician). But since his early days as a politician, Escudero has already been acting like one:
1. He didn’t support the impeachment of then-Comelec Commissioner Luzviminda Tancangco despite the overwhelming evidence against her.
Chiz cannot deny the fact that Tancangco was the architect of the Mega Pacific deal that involved billions of pesos. The deal was later junked by the Supreme Court. She was also involved in the Voters Registration and Identification System (VRIS) project. It reeked with irregularity when she awarded it to Photokina for P6.56 billion despite the Comelec’s budget of only P1.2 billion.
Actually, the impeachment reached the plenary but Escudero and his Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) party had the numbers to thwart the impeachment.
2. Escudero didn’t support the impeachment of former Ombudsman Aniano Desierto.
Lawyer Ernesto Francisco and civil society groups filed an impeachment case against Desierto for culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust. Despite the overwhelming evidence similar to the one filed against current Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez, then Representative Escudero didn’t have any second thoughts in helping the majority junk the impeachment complaint.
3. Escudero didn’t support the impeachment complaint against then-President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, again despite the overwhelming evidence.
Back then, Escudero saw nothing impeachable about Erap, in the same manner that today Rep. Mikey Arroyo sees nothing impeachable about Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
4. But the most repulsive act Escudero did was when he, together with his “Brat boys” in the NPC, initiated the impeachment of then-Chief Justice Hilario Davide.
Of course, they didn’t succeed because of the furor à la People Power whipped up by their unreasonable and childish initiative.
I wonder why these things have not been raised in candidates’ forums. The electorate, especially the youth, should study and look at the past actions of people running for high office or they could be duped by glib talk.”
(If this is not enough, try to research on what bills Chiz has authored (authored, ha hindi co-authored, or sabit lang) when he was congressman. Folks, I belong to the undecided voters group, thus, I find forum like this good and mind-opener. Kahit may himig pangangampanya ang inputs ng iba, okay lang, marunong naman tayong sumala ng chaff from the grain. )

Got this in my e-mail today. Just sharing, without any comments.
Dear friends,
Yesterday I was in the residence of Brenda Padilla in Alabang. It was a gathering of people who had gotten a text invite to listen to Emma de Guzman a Filipina visionary, talk about messages that the Blessed Virgin gave her during an apparition at the Mountain of Salvation in Batulao last Wednesday, Sept. 7. There were 2,000 people present when the Virgin appeared to her at midnight. Emma is a Filipina visionary who has followers all over the world and she has been receiving apparitions from Mama Mary since the 90’s. June Keithly featured her in a TV documentary. You can google her for her amazing spiritual gifts.
Anyway, yesterday she talked about how our country is blessed because God loves the Filipino people so much. God told her that we should not worry about all the problems we are experiencing. The United States is a rich, powerful nation and yet they are experiencing all sorts of calamities because they have turned away from God. She said in 2010, something will happen and after that, from 2011 to 2016, we will be experiencing a period of great prosperity. She said a young man will be elected President and our country will be showered with graces because of his leadership.
She said that the Blessed Virgin showed her a vision of this young man sometime ago. She did not know him and when her friends showed her pictures from the newspapers, she couldn’t find him in any of them. She resides in the States and on this trip, she saw him in the newspapers. When asked, she said he is in his late forties or early 50’s. Emma said some people do not think he is qualified to be president because he is not intelligent enough. The reason why God picked him is because of the pureness of his heart. She said he will run and he will win and he will offer up his position to the altar of God. And God will provide him with everything he needs to be a good President. He will bring about positive changes in our society. He will end the culture of graft and corruption but he will not seek revenge. She said she will come back during elections to vote for him and we should also all vote for him. She refused to give his name and just asked us
to pray for discernment so we would know who to vote for. When asked what his distinctive feature is, she said “iyong noo.”
I was so happy after listening to Emma’s talk. I had no doubt in my mind that she was talking about Noynoy. God is again intervening in our history to send us a
leader who will end the misery of our people. I just wanted to share this wonderful revelations with all my friends and loved ones.

HI there,

i haven’t been monitoring the SURVEY so i wouldn’t really know who posted an increase or a drop in votes.
FYI lang, it’s not impossible for a candidate to leapfrog from say, 4th to 2nd if his supporters have suddenly started visiting this site and clicking their bet’s name. karapatan nila ‘yun.
and i don’t give a freakin’ damn kahit si jamby madrigal pa ang manalo sa survey or si atty. pamatong.
just don’t accuse me of manipulating the poll because that’s farthest from the truth. if you wanted noy to win in the survey, tell all your fellow noynoy supporters to drop by this blog and cast their votes.

Mr. Heckler, I am not accusing you yourself of manipulation (some of the voters do)… Obviously Villar fans ang gumagawa noon. The jumps in percentage is statiscally improbable (though not impossible). Noynoy’s 48% to 38%-assuming with orginal 100 voters- will need about 1000 Villar votes only with negligible non-Villar voters… Fan mo ako kayo peace…

LOL. The survey is from a third party site and I don’t think you can manipulate the results unless otherwise you pay your throng of supporters to click on the survey. It is also possible to duplicate the votes since it does not record your IP and prevents from voting again.

This is a common reaction among my friends infected with yellow fever. If things are not going their way, they cry cheating, persecution and oppression. Their sense of self-righteousness and entitlement when it comes to their cause is as big as Hacienda Luisita.

If you’re thinking about voting for Noy, you need to know about this important issue. Kawawang mga trabahador ng Hacienda Luisita!
Tama bang pagtrato ito sa kanila? Tapos pinagyabang noon ni Kris Aquino na ang kanyang mga alahas ay “KATAS NG HACIENDA LUISITA”
(http://lenolea.motime.com/post/375189/hacienda+luisita). Tama ba naman ito? Hanggang ngayon ay wala pang malinaw na lunas para sa kahirapan ng mga tao dito. Si Noy ay hindi naman makagawa ng maayos na desisyon. Ano pang hinihintay nila?
Noy for president? Think again. Hindi siya si Ninoy.

Hindi ba si Ernie maceda member ng NPC na so young and yet so corrupt. Si Chiz kasi darling of the Media. Alam niyang kilitiin ang mga reporter. Pero yung mga taga Sorsogon hindi niya napaglingkuran nang husto. Remember ang tatay nyan Marcos at Tabako man. Ang latest tungkol sa CHiz candidacy mukhang kinuha na niya si Lito banayo bilang Campaign manager na dating close adviser ni lacson.

Dun sa mga nagheheckle kay PH tungkol sa survey. This is just an ordinary survey. Hindi ito scientific survey. maghugos dili kayo. Pero malakas talaga si Villar at Noynoy. malakas sila sa mga TV network……
